I wanted to take the time to communicate my disagreement with the specific issue of charging players gold for swapping rune sets. You guys have built an entertaining game here, but it feels slow and lumberous sometimes. To me, the 2x speed of battle feels like it should actually be the normal speed. 1x sometimes feels unbearably slow, but I understand if you are up against a conflict between the speed of the code and memory limitations. What I don't understand though is the mentality where you would make the players pay gold for a more accessible interface. It really makes no sense to me, because one of the main areas of competition between games is in fact how capable the interface is in doing what the player wants to do. Some of my favorite games are my favorite games not because they had beautiful artwork or great music, but because the interface worked faster than the capability of the player to make decisions. If you want to charge for stuff, charge for items that make a player more powerful but don't hassle the player like this.
